Children, Youth, and Family Ministry
Children and Youth Information, Forms and Calendars
The mission of KOG’s Children, Youth, and Family Ministry is to help youth and children to learn how to share their gifts, grow in life skills, develop a positive self-image, overcome prejudices, develop respect for differences, serve those in need, and foster social change all in following the lead of Jesus.
Some of the ways we achieve our mission are:
1. Participate in the sacraments
2. Develop a personal spirituality and prayer life
3. Apply faith to their daily life
4. Participate in Church
5. Develop a personal relationship with Jesus
Parents are the primary faith mentors in a child’s life and we partner with parents to build children and youth programs which supports faith formation and growth across generations.
Children & Family
Worship
Kids Time is held at our 10:30 a.m. Worship Service on Sunday mornings. During Kids Time children who are toddlers through Elementary School age leave the sanctuary during the sermon and are given the same concept of the sermon in a developmentally appropriate way. All of the children rejoin their parents for the offering and communion. At King of Glory we feel it is important to worship as a family yet to spiritually feed our children on their level.
Faith Milestones
*Communion Milestone-Communion Workshop takes place in the fall to prepare our children third grade and older to participate regularly in our celebration of Holy Communion
*Bible Blessing Milestone-Fall (Students going into Kindergarten and Confirmation are gifted an age approprate Bible)
